**Delta Air Lines and United Airlines Ramp up for Increased Demand**
Travelers received an early present this year when Delta and United announced increased capacity to the island for the holiday season. Visitors can plan for longer stays and the opportunity to spend more of their holiday time on island. Whether it’s diving in the Bonaire Marine Park or participating in activities above the water, peak season travel schedules will make it easier for travelers to get to Bonaire and start celebrating.
Starting December 17, 2016 through January 6, 2017, Delta will offer 3x weekly non-stop service every Saturday, Tuesday, and Friday from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). The southbound Delta flight DL380 will depart ATL at 9:45am and arrive at Bonaire International Airport (BON) at 2:45pm every Saturday, Tuesday and Friday. The northbound return flight DL672 will depart Bonaire at 3:48pm and arrive at Atlanta at 7:07pm every Saturday, Tuesday and Friday.
United Airlines will be up-gauging their aircraft to a 737-900, the largest 737, with 179 seats during the peak-of-the-peak from both Newark and Houston. The Houston flight operates every Saturday from George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston (IAH). Southbound United flight UA1402 will depart IAH at 1:05pm and arrive at Bonaire International Airport (BON) at 7:40pm. The northbound return flight UA1401 will depart Bonaire at 8:30am and arrive in Houston at 11:30am every Sunday.
The United flight operates every Saturday from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Southbound United flight UA1422 will depart EWR at 8:50 am and arrive at Bonaire International Airport (BON) at 2:45pm. The northbound return flight UA1420 will depart Bonaire at 3:30pm and arrive in Newark at 7:40pm every Saturday.
