For Sunday 27th of January STINAPA at the Washington Slagbaai National Park (WSNP) organizes a hiking contest for groups of 7.6 km named KADIMO Survival trail.
This early morning hiking contest starts from the South Gate and ends at the entrance of WSNP.
This hike is a good opportunity to work on the physical condition and burn some of the calories consumed during the end of the year festivities. Participants need to register at the STINAPA office or call 717-8444.
Uniformed groups interested in the event are very welcome. Groups need to be a minimum of 5 persons. Participation to the event is $15 per person.
STINAPA would like invite the Bonaire community to come to Washington Slagbaai National Park on Sunday and support their favourite team. Entrance to the park is $3 and for children under 12 years the entrance is free.
Participating groups need to be at the main entrance of the WSNP at 6am after which everyone will be transported to the Southgate. The hike will start at 7 am at the southgate following the Orinoco route along the east fence going to Subí di kuku, bai Kornelin, Seru Oom Wie, Seru meimei, Se pretu, Piedra Bazjan, Porta makaku, Kasikunda and finishing at Mo Lonshi at the main entrance around 10 am. The complete distance is 7.6 km. The prize is a 2 night stay at Slagbaai Plantation!
The award ceremony will take place at the “Mo Lonshi” High Flying Park. Snacks and drinks will be available.
