Tariffs electricity and drinking water as of January 1st 2020

as established by WEB

Explanation:

1) For the categories 1*25 Ampere up till 3*63 Ampere the fixed values have been determined for the calculation of the fixed usage rate. The fixed rate for 3*25 and 3*35 Ampere are equated. For the categories 3*80 Ampere and up the values are calculated based on the formula: (Ampere * 220 Volt * 1.73) / 1.000 (that is equal to the technical capacity);

2) The height of the fixed usage rate per month depends on the size of the connection capacity and will be charged per connection. This rate is for coverage of the costs of the network;

3) The variable rate will be charged for the actual usage (kWh);

4) The discount is equal to the rate subsidy by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. Based on the law subsidy can only be granted to lower the fixed usage rate and to lower the Pagabon rate;

5) The Pagabon rate is the rate for electricity per kWh that is distributed on prepaid base and in which the costs for transport (the fixed usage rate) and the production of electricity (variable usage rate) are discounted into one variable rate. For new requests, Pagabon is possible for connections up to 3*35 Ampere;

6) For example connection of 3*500 Ampere with 220 Volt: (500 *220 * 1.73) / 1000 = 190.30 kVA;

7) The gross rates are equal to the maximum rates as determined by the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM);

8) The basic rate applies to connections with a maximum length of 25 meters. For excess length> 25 meters, a contribution based on pre-calculated project costs applies.

The above rates are visible on the invoices from February 2020 onwards (with a start date for consumption in January and an end date in February).

For the January invoice , the rates as from July 1st, 2019 apply. For Pagabon based users, the new rates are immediately visible from January 1st, 2020.

Explanation:

1) The height of the fixed usage rate per month depends on the volume of the connection capacity (diameter of the connection line) and will be charged per connection. This rate is intended to cover the costs for the network;

2) The variable usage rate will be charged for the actual use (m3);

3) The discount is equal to the tariff subsidy by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (I&W). Subsidies can only be granted on the basis of the law to reduce the fixed rate of use and to reduce the rate for delivery with the water truck;

4) The rate per watertruck concerns the rate for drinking water per m3 that will be delivered by truck and in which the costs for transportation and drinking water are discounted. This delivery has to be paid up front;

5) The gross rates are equal to the maximum rates set by the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).

6) The basic rate applies to connections with a maximum length of 25 meters. For excess length> 25 meters, a contribution based on pre-calculated project costs applies.

The above rates are visible on the invoices from february 2020 onwards (with a start date for consumption in january and an end date in february).

For the invoice of january, the rates are as from January 1st, 2019 apply. For the water truck customers, the new rates are immediately visible from 1st january 2020.
